About

Materials scientist with PhD-level training and industrial R&D experience in smart glass, functional coatings, and advanced hybrid material systems. My work focuses on electro-rotational solar control, polymer-based smart glazing, and inorganic–organic hybrid technologies. I have contributed to state-funded and industry-sponsored R&D programmes, including patented light-valve technologies developed with a global glass manufacturer. I work across materials development, formulation design, structure–property analysis, and performance optimisation, with a strong interest in translating scientific understanding into application-oriented solutions. My background sits at the interface of materials science, process engineering, and industrial innovation, with emphasis on technical depth, collaboration, and reliable product-oriented development.

Experience

  • Managing Director at hkl Engineering and Consulting
    May 2013 - Jan 2018 · 4 yrs 9 mos

I am proud to say that I was honoured with Teknogirisim Capital Grant by Republic of Turkey Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology and founded my company. Our project based work was focused on non-linear optical behavior of ferroelectric materials. Periodical polarizability of lithium niobate single crystals was stepping stone for second harmonic generation interface for laser systems. Using lithography techniques on lithium niobate crystals, required output and given input was tailored. This work also gave us the opportunity to improve enterpreneurship ecosystem and project management skills.
