About

I like messy problems. The kind with too many variables, not enough data, and a lot of opinions. Over the past 20+ years, I've built a career helping organisations find clarity, unlock growth and execute commercial strategy across retail, sport, tourism and consumer brands. Along the way I've worked with organisations including Nike, BIG4 Holiday Parks, Greyhound Racing Victoria, Australian Racing & Leisure and SportsPower. I'm a commercial executive who thinks like a marketer and acts like an owner. Throughout my career I've led functions spanning Commercial, Marketing, Customer Experience (CX), Retail, Sales, Digital, Partnerships, eCommerce, Product, Communications and Member Engagement. I've owned P&Ls, reported to Boards and CEOs, led business transformation programs, built high-performing teams and developed growth strategies that improve both commercial performance and customer outcomes. Whether the title is Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, General Manager or Chief Operating Officer, the challenge is usually the same: identify where growth will come from, align people behind a strategy, communicate the strategy clearly and execute with discipline. My experience spans founder-led businesses, member organisations, independent business networks and global brands. That breadth has taught me that while industries differ, sustainable growth is remarkably consistent. It comes from understanding customers, building strong commercial partnerships, making better decisions with data, and creating operating models that people can actually deliver. I'm particularly interested in organisations navigating growth, commercial transformation or changing customer expectations. From go-to-market strategy and revenue growth to customer journey design, loyalty, digital transformation and AI-enabled customer experiences, I enjoy helping businesses identify the few levers that create disproportionate impact. Colleagues would say I'm chronically curious, commercially pragmatic and comfortable joining the dots between strategy and execution. I ask questions, challenge assumptions, simplify complexity and focus on outcomes rather than activity. If you're looking for an executive leader with experience across commercial strategy, growth, customer, marketing and operations, or simply enjoy discussing business, sport, or customers, I'd love to connect.

  • Founder & Principal Consultant (Chief Pincher) at PINCH | Growth Advisory
    Sep 2024 - Present · 1 yr 11 mos

After more than two decades leading commercial, customer and marketing functions inside large organisations, I founded PINCH Advisory to help businesses solve the same problems I'd been solving from the inside. PINCH works with organisations across retail, sport, tourism, membership and consumer brands to identify practical opportunities for commercial growth, customer experience improvement and business transformation. Rather than producing strategies that sit on a shelf, I work alongside leadership teams to identify the initiatives that will have the greatest commercial impact and help execute them. My work spans commercial strategy, customer experience (CX), growth strategy, go-to-market planning, loyalty and membership, digital transformation, retail strategy, brand positioning, commercial partnerships and executive facilitation. Projects have included customer journey mapping for major venue operators, commercial maturity assessments for sporting organisations, loyalty strategy development, AI readiness frameworks, growth planning, workshop facilitation, executive coaching and strategic advisory for leadership teams. The common thread is helping organisations simplify complexity, make better commercial decisions and build strategies that can actually be delivered. PINCH also provides me with the opportunity to remain connected across multiple industries, bringing fresh ideas and proven commercial practices from one sector into another. Areas of expertise include: • Commercial Strategy & Transformation • Customer Experience (CX) • Retail & Consumer Strategy • Loyalty & Membership • AI Strategy & Readiness • Go-to-Market Strategy • Workshop Facilitation • Strategic Brand & Marketing Planning • Commercial Partnerships Development www.pinchadvisory.com : Providing marketing and commercial advisory services to Founders, Marketing Directors, Commercial Directors and Operations leaders while looking for my next permanent role.

  • Chief Commercial Officer at Nick Auditore Represents Pty Ltd
    Dec 2024 - Sep 2025 · 10 mos

Joining NAR following a successful project delivery and during a period of organisational change, I was appointed Chief Commercial Officer to strengthen the commercial foundations of one of Australia's leading licensed sports apparel distributors. Working closely with the Founder and executive team, my focus was to improve commercial performance, establish scalable operating rhythms and prepare the business for its next phase of growth. The role spanned wholesale sales, customer service, product, go-to-market, merchandising, operations and strategic partnerships across a portfolio of global sports and lifestyle brands. I partnered with key retailers, licensors and internal teams to improve commercial decision-making, strengthen customer relationships and build a more disciplined commercial operating model. My focus extended beyond day-to-day trading to developing a long-term commercial strategy, improving sales capability, refining wholesale processes, optimising trading terms and introducing greater commercial rigour across planning, forecasting and customer engagement. The opportunity reinforced that sustainable growth rarely comes from a single initiative. It comes from aligning people, process, product and customers behind a clear commercial strategy and executing it consistently. Key areas of focus included: • Commercial strategy and growth planning • Wholesale sales leadership and customer strategy • Go-to-market planning and product commercialisation • Brand Marketing leadership • eCommerce leadership • Retail and distribution strategy • Sales operations and performance management • Team capability, leadership and organisational alignment • Executive stakeholder engagement and business transformation
