I work at the intersection between business requirements and the technology that allows them to be met; mapping and understanding business processes while understanding how to implement solutions to make them more efficient and scalable.
- Mapping business processes and gathering requirements from internal stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities. - Designing customizations, reports, and changes to the ERP system (Epicor), to bridge the gap between existing and optimal business processes. - Working with developers to implement solutions, from proof of concept through testing and deployment. - Writing SQL queries and creating customized dashboards to enable and facilitate data-driven decisions. - Defining and establishing end user procedures across departments to improve consistency and efficiency. - Ongoing user support and employee training with the goal of improving system adoption and use across departments.
- Focused on energy management projects, including the use of an energy management system (Panoramic Power) to benchmark electricity capacity and requirements for plant operations. - Electricity bill analysis, to identify the impact of energy saving initiatives, like the Industrial Conservation Initiative and Demand Response.
- Lead sessions designed to help first semester students successfully pass the Mathematics 1 course - Develop and design strategies that lead to a problem-solving mindset instead of a formula memorization approach - Explain and convey concepts in a simple way that generates a better understanding
- Designed and 3D printed prototypes of saddle adapters for insertion flow meters of different sizes. - Hands-on testing of instrumentation equipment, including diaphragm pressure gauges. - Revised, edited, and updated product documentation including installation manuals and datasheets. - Communicated and carried out presentations to international instrumentation companies, with the purpose of establishing international commercial relationships.
