Moëlan-sur-Mer, Brittany, France
Experienced leader of organisations and projects with a strong technical background, also a passionate bluewater sailor. What drives me is to deliver as a team on meaningful projects, preferably in the Maritime or Energy sectors. Key skills and track record: • Creation and implementation of company level technical strategies and technology road maps. • Management of portfolios of complex technical projects, involving topics as diverse as mechanical engineering, production of electronics, offshore operations, R&D, new technology implementation, but also geophysics, IT or human resources. • Leading international teams by providing them with the means to succeed, in growth times and in restructuration contexts, collocated as well as scattered globally. • Strong analytical mind, with a focus on problem solving. Ability to understand business and customer needs to propose efficient and possibly disruptive solutions. • Fast learner who not only adapts quickly to change but also embraces it and brings the surrounding organisations along. • MSc in General Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Paris (top 5% nationally) As comfortable in an office environment as in coveralls on a shipyard or a vessel back deck, I thrive in inclusive working cultures where trust and creativity are valued.
Though a non-lucrative activity, being a blue ocean sailor requires very similar skills to the ones needed to manage a small technical business: - Vision and matching strategy - Project Management - Finances and cash flow modeling - Technical skills: mechanics, electrical engineering, electronics, hydraulics, IT & networks, meteorology, web development - Foreign languages and culture understanding All of the above in a - this time literally - fluid environment.
