As the Global Category Lead (Professional Services) at Fresenius Medical Care, I lead the sourcing of Professional Services across the company's footprint, ensuring cost-effective, risk-measured, and value-driven engagements and category management. With over 25 years of experience in direct and indirect procurement, I have a broad and deep knowledge of various industries, such as Med Tech, pharmaceuticals, Oil & Gas, FMCG, Financial Services, Automotive, and Telecommunications. Reporting to the Head of CSS / Pharma Procurement, I manage the Professional Services Category, globally, for Fresenius Medical Care. My special responsibilties are to demonstrate risk-assured, cost-effective, controlled and value-laden engagements and Category management. Responsibilities: • Global Category Leadership of Professional Services - HR & Benefits, Consulting, Legal Services, Financial Services and range of ancillary professional services. I also manage a matrix responsibility for Regional and Country procurement colleagues to ensure alignment; • Leading a Team of 4 DRs and matrix of Regional and Country leads, managing a budget of €715M+ (direct) and a further USD$550M in custodial spend; • Management of the 5 Cs .... Compliance, Commerciality, Contracts, Continuity, Collaboration; and • Category Strategy development, Governance, Control and Compliance.
Reporting to the CPO, responsibility for all Professional Services and People & Organisation Sourcing across the Novartis footprint, ensuring cost-effective, risk-measured and value-driven engagements and Category management. Responsibilities: • Global Category Leadership of Professional Services - Consulting, Legal Services, Financial Services, Outsourced Services and General & Administrative Services. Matrix responsibility for HR and IT Services to ensure alignment; • Responsibility for leading a Team of 8 and matrix of 20+ country leads, managing a budget of $790M+; • Responsibility for Category Governance, Control and Compliance.
Independent Strategic & Operational Consulting on Sourcing of Indirect inputs, focusing on service improvement and cost reduction activities. In conjunction with this "buy-side" consulting, I am also engaged by PS Firms which want to better understand the qualitative and pricing aspects of Procurement-driven RFx programmes.
