West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States
I am an Urban and Environmental Planning student at West Chester University with a minor in Finance. My main interests are land development, GIS, site planning, green infrastructure, and real estate development. I like the process behind how places get built. I am interested in the early planning side of development, including how a site fits into an area, what constraints need to be considered, what should be protected, and how different steps come together before a project becomes real. I enjoy looking at maps, aerial imagery, data, and site conditions to understand how places change over time and how they can be designed better. Through my internship with Middletown Township, I have worked on park asset inventories, tree and site condition assessments, stormwater observations, green infrastructure opportunities, and public space planning. This work has helped me connect field data with bigger planning decisions, especially around maintenance, environmental design, and long-term community value. I am looking to grow in land development, planning, GIS, and consulting roles where I can help evaluate sites, support project planning, and contribute to better development outcomes.
Conduct field-based park asset inventory work across Middletown Township parks using Vialytics and site observations. Document trees, trails, signage, benches, athletic fields, playground assets, stormwater features, memorial areas, and other public infrastructure. Assess tree species, circumference/DBH, condition, maintenance needs, and location to support long-term park planning. Identify maintenance priorities including drainage concerns, degraded paths, aging assets, tree removals, pruning needs, and potential planting areas. Review green infrastructure opportunities such as riparian buffers, basin naturalization, shade tree planting, and native vegetation. Organize findings into clear summaries that help township staff understand existing conditions and future improvement needs.
