My role at ICIS was to design and introduce b2b product software and improve the company’s website. Given the opportunity to lead a number of projects at ICIS, I learnt fast and drove change. The speed of innovation gave me exposure to all stages of the UX cycle and the ability to learn and produce good design at the same time. Key skills I have developed include: Stakeholder management and feedback Analytics (and design decisions based on this) Sketch InVision R/Shiny visualisation Running internal and external workshops User Testing/Interviews
As part of the UX graduate scheme, I conducted a few rotations within different markets at Reed Business Information. Across the markets I helped the company transition from paper to digital, by using User Experience methodologies and working alongside my colleagues to connect the business to its customers. This experience working in a large b2b environment, with multidisciplinary teams, agile methodology, customer focused work and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once was an essential start to my career.
At FlightGlobal, I was working on products used by Airline and Airport Strategists to retrieve flight data and make strategic decisions for their business. I undertook projects which taught me: R and Shiny (Data Science) Usability testing Axure prototyping Jira and Confluence
I worked on a bachelor thesis at Loughborough University with Jaguar Land Rover, exploring the argument of whether audio feedback has an effect on the driver's trust in autonomous vehicles. This amazing opportunity gave me exposure to the forefront of an emerging technology.
