Oyster Sanctuary Biologist for the State of North Carolina. This position consists of sanctuary site selection, construction, and monitoring a network of oyster sanctuaries. This sanctuary network currently consists of 15 constructed oyster reefs which are strategically distributed throughout the Pamlico Sound, NC to maximize larval availability and dispersal to natural reefs and cultch planted sites. I completed a Master's of Science in Conservation Biology. The purpose of my research was to provide a better understanding of bonefish spawning behavior and biology in Grand Bahamas, with potential application to the Florida Key's struggling bonefish population.
