Started new role with E-FWD, working with community members in energy Researched battery storage and data centres with community groups and data for environmental NGO APRS. I’ve created onboarding materials for ESL colleagues and supported peers through workplace challenges. In each role, I’ve taken on more responsibility due to my performance and collaboration. Was first in university programme’s history to take a postgraduate course as an option while an undergraduate student: Information Systems and Databases. Did intersectional analysis of equity to groups facing multiple inequalities: innovated methodology from wide reading--epidemiology-- evaluated programme effectiveness and proposed improvements.
APRS = Action to Protect Rural Scotland, a charity. • Briefed the board, provided specific data to partner organisations and policy groups. • Produced and carried out research strategy and data analysis, from complex source materials.
SAMH = Scottish Action for Mental Health, charity. • Public engagement and fundraising.
• Proactively communicated with international fulfilment network, resolving logistics issues and supporting events. Performance led to expanded responsibilities. • Supported a 22-person team administratively. Improved collaboration, file accessibility, and team member independence. Wrote onboarding and training materials for ESL colleagues. • Was a temp among 12 others, from Office Angels. Contract extended 3 times and first offered a permanent role.
• Led 5-person team in fine dining hospitality. Assessed needs, trained staff, and assigned tasks.Earned director’s trust. Advised on hiring, and supported scheduling. Reduced ad hoc procurement. contributed to increased TripAdvisor ratings, supported local magazine and national TV coverage. Was asked to and did represent an ESL colleague during a workplace challenge.
