• Researching funding sources, outlining grant proposals, and reviewing writings for green energy startup companies and human services non-profit organizations serving immigrants and veterans • Translating web contents and legal documents from and to Chinese, English, and Japanese
- Collaborating with other RAs and two professors to compile information for an archive on colonial and post-colonial Singapore government responses to public health crises - Producing reports on historical patterns of criminalization, legislation, and public health policies in Singapore
• Collaborating with three professors and over 60 students to collect and transcribe thousands of California prisoners’ COVID-19 experiences from hotlines and letters • Conducting document redaction, database management, and preliminary library archival work in collaboration with postgraduate students
• Underwent training of communication, collaboration, active learning, and other teaching/learning skills and became a certified Learning Assistant (LA) upon completion of training • Assisted professor and teaching assistants by planning activities, preparing worksheets, facilitating discussions, and organize weekly meetings in Uni Stu 176 and Earth System Science 5 classes.
• Coordinating observations and action plans for and overseeing over 100 new Learning Assistants (LAs) every quarter in the Certified Learning Assistant Program (CLAP) • Interacting with 44 professors and faculty, 350 LAs, and 8 other team members every quarter, in managing course data and advising, motivating, and training LAs to streamline the running of over 60 courses
• Mentored 8 first-year international students from 4 countries/regions each year to create a reliable academic and social support system by meetings, reports, workshops and group activities • Arranged International Students Excellence Program (ISEP) events by cooperating with peer mentors, coordinators, staff, and campus offices efficiently while documenting plans and after-action reports
• Conferred with 28 social justice leaders from UN, Microsoft, governments, and 70 selected student leaders from 13 countries on international human rights issues • Designed a mobile period tracker application “Soror” for global gender violence assistance and currently developing the application in South American areas with team members and technology personnel
