Manager for a team of Pricing and Proposals specialists , with overall responsibility for Neuroscience and Cardiovascular Medical Imaging proposals and support for the most complex requests within these areas. Responsible for generation, analysis and management of pricing and proposals for medical imaging core laboratory services, with effective leadership for the Neuroscience therapeutic area, ensuring consistent and timely delivery of client proposals in accordance with margin guidelines and by co-ordinating key stakeholder reviews and discussions. Line manager and mentor for less experienced team members providing training oversight and support to ensure proposals are delivered to consistently high standards. Responsible for maintenance and updates to therapeutic area templates, including development and implementation of pricing for new services/processes and features (e.g., automation to streamline the proposals process).
Led generation of proposals, ballparks and associated costings for phase I CRO, CDMO, and integrated services. Assessed new project feasibility and liaised with client representatives, internal stakeholders and third party providers to generate and agreed scope of work, and associated budgets. Developed and maintained efficient template documents in Microsoft Excel and Word, including alignment of multiple, global sites and services. Generated tools to track, analyse and report commercial metrics and KPIs to senior management. Received the "Customer Hero FY2019" award, largely due to diligence and attention to detail in extensive sponsor request for proposals (RFPs).
Provided support and drove generation of proposals, ballparks and associated costings for exploratory phase I clinical trials, including liaising with internal stakeholders and third party providers, internal compilation of additional requests including RFI/questionnaire responses and generation of change orders for signed studies. Attended and supported client meetings to aid with scoping of projects, presenting proposed programmes of work, and bid defenses, to support the selling of Quotient services. Compiled and maintained information internally for departmental metrics, and identifying/implementing improvements to efficiencies within the costing/proposal process.
Facilitated the recruitment of suitable healthy volunteers onto early-phase clinical trials, via communications between volunteers, higher management and health professionals, occasionally having to deliver bad news tactfully, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure compliance with MHRA guidelines.
Organised live music events, working with both local and national acts, promoted these events through a variety of means including social media, and performed general bar and door duties on event nights.
Introduced prospective students and their families to the University's biological science department by giving guided tours, answering questions and offering insights and advice based on my own experiences as a student.
