Estimator / Commercial Manager • Oversee and attend to pre-tender site briefings. • Analyzing plans, BOQ and project documentation to provide accurate, detailed estimate costs. • Research, source, negotiate/reduce and obtain prices from suppliers and sub-contractors. • Convey with key members of the project team, and oversee the liaising with clients and suppliers. • Generate preliminary program and construction methodology of works. • Ensure estimate costs, inclusive of production rates, materials, labour and equipment, meet contractual timelines and requirements. • Advise on the assessment of financial, technical and operational risks. • Provide clients quotations, inc. general and specific conditions. • Draft sub-contractor agreements and prepare bill of quantities. • Measure, value, negotiate and award of sub-contractor final agreements and accounts. • Cost, value and agree project change variation orders with client. • Represent and attend construction/contractual meetings as required. Site Agent / Contracts Manager • Improve Planning / Programming works to ensure service delivery in terms of contract. • Maximize operational teams and ensure processes and procedures are correct in terms of quality control and workmanship. • Direct external sub-contractors and internal construction managers. • Monitor and view progress vs programme, and pro-actively address any lags to ensure works fall within the contractual programme. • Oversee tool box talks are conducted, compliance of health and safety regulations. • Generate the submission of works method statements and risk assessments. • Facilitate and ensure works comply with Environmental legislation and specifications. • Enhance quality assurance in terms of project specifications and drawings • Assessing QS and BOQ measurements of correctness of monthly payment certificates • Formalize contractual correspondence with regard to claims, variation orders and reporting.
