Hi! I’m Calla Doh, a senior at Rice University majoring in Environmental Sciences with a minor in Poverty, Justice, and Human Capabilities. I’m dedicated to advancing bold, global climate justice through our legal and political systems. I currently co-lead a nationwide plant-based university campaign and conduct research on international food systems for UNICEF. Additionally, I've conducted legislative research and developed communications strategies in Congress, as well as worked on local political campaigns. I'm eager to further my knowledge and skill set in advancing international climate movements through litigation, political campaigning, and grassroots advocacy. In my free time, you can find me recording an episode for my podcast "Staying Real", harvesting strawberries in Rice's garden, or getting lost in a bookstore.

Selected from a highly competitive pool of national applicants as a Food4Thought Spark Fellow. Contributed to a UNICEF project spanning 25+ countries in Africa among other research and graphic design tasks.

Mentored a group of high school students during a global food security conference and present their independent research papers to a panel of experts. I was also selected to speak at the Borlaug International Dialogue on my experience in India as a Borlaug-Ruan intern in front of political and industry leaders.
Selected from a competitive national pool of students as one of 14 Borlaug-Ruan International Interns and interned with the S M Sehgal Foundation in Gurugram, India. Prior to my selection as a Borlaug-Ruan Intern, I was a participant in the 2023 Maryland World Food Prize Youth Institute and wrote an independent research paper titled "Weathering the Growing Threat of Climate Volatility on India’s Food Security".
Authored a 45-page report titled "Maternal and Child Nutrition in Nuh: Agricultural, Social, Economic, and Cultural Insights and Recommendations." Collaborated with cross-functional teams to integrate malnutrition research findings and literature reviews into recommendations for the foundation's outreach to over 5.7 million villagers in rural India and assess the impact of SMSF's interventions.
