Experienced full stack developer in the Microsoft .NET framework, who stays curious and enjoys the challenges and rewards that come with system-level problem solving. Dedicated to details that count for successful project outcomes and passionate about the craft of developing software systems to solve real world challenges. As part of that delivery process, I appreciate the human side as well as technical factors required for impactful IT teams. I'm a big believer in openly sharing technical and domain knowledge, and also picking up new and more effective ways to ship quality code from fellow teammates. Taking significant projects across the finish line requires both strong individual contributors and coordinated teamwork.
Key contributions: * Rebuilt the platform's core Master Data Management module from a proof-of-concept that was crashing production servers (32GB RAM) into a performant, low-memory system using file-based caching and byte-range indexing — scaling the platform from ~10K to 1M+ row datasets while reducing container resource requirements. * Implemented circular dependency detection across a transformation engine with 30+ transformation types, preventing silent data corruption in automated financial controls used by major utility companies. * Built a human-readable audit trail system for full transformation chain traceability, supporting the platform's tracing capabilities. * Standardized 8–15 cross-system integration points of varying maturity into a coherent architecture, enabling reliable data flow between utility companies' disparate financial systems. * Led weekly engineering discussions advocating for technical standards and architectural improvements. * Bridged gaps between ambiguous requirements and implementation through interactive prototyping and stakeholder walkthroughs.
As a fullstack developer at a growing and fast-paced company, I wear multiple hats in the truest sense of the term. I am responsible for successfully guiding customers to integrate transactions across a full range of hospital OLTP systems (Wholesaler Orders, Secured Controlled Substance Storage, Medication Administrations, Employee Timeclocks, Retail Pharmacy Outpatient). I stood up a minimal viable product in less than a month to dynamically tailor ETL pipelines to meet the rapidly changing needs of the project. This code generator framework enabled me to orchestrate ingestions between nearly a dozen customer IT teams across three simultaneous hospital customers. This approach is now being deployed across the rest of our legacy healthcare customers to improve reliability, visibility, and consistency in their data ingestion. Critical during our healthcare pivot, I refactored our online inventory analytics SaaS to a more modern and responsive UI. I was also responsible for provisioning new instances and deploying upgrades across the company's three verticals in Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, and Manufacturing. In our production environment, I provided support during business/non-business hours, making hot fixes as needed. I also performed light DBA, sysadmin, and InfoSec duties, in tandem with day to day software development work. Key Takeaways: * Hands-on experiences across the full stack of web application development, helps me to anticipate and preempt lateral, cross-system or vertical, cross-tier issues when developing solutions for real world use-cases. * As the situation calls for, I can apply meta-level thinking and first principles to reverse engineer new external data systems or develop internal products. * To implement solutions, I can pull from familiar technologies like Microsoft's .NET and PowerShell. Or rapidly learn the tools best suited to a new problem, like I did with Python and Pandas for our ETL MVP.
Participated in the successful migration of siloed legacy systems into a single university-wide ERP platform. As part of this effort I personally migrated our financially sensitive course fees catalog, and helped migrate the general course-offerings catalog. I then leveraged the ERP system's new capabilities via a method never before implemented by the platform's prior customers in order to deliver an in-house solution for critical executive decision making. This required collaborating with the ERP's consultants and our stakeholders, and independently experimenting to reverse engineer the system’s audit trails to retrieve accurate data at a finer granularity than its architecture naturally exposed. Prior to that, I was responsible for helping maintain a .NET self-service portal for special student courses and programs. Key Takeaways: * I am experienced in migrating and transforming data across systems at the enterprise level. * I can work with internal and external teammates to devise solutions to new and complex technical challenges. * I can stay on top of the details needed to migrate financially sensitive data successfully.
