Diligently manage the series’ website daily, updating with the latest digital content. Write bi-weekly newsletters for the series’ general email newsletter. Create content ranging from special features to interactive quizzes, and take part in pitching video content, drafting questions for filmed cast interviews, brainstorming short form video ideas, and working with the post production team on video creation. Manage the series’ YouTube channel, pitching exclusive content for the channel, experimenting with YouTube Community and more, etc. Work closely with the National Marketing and Social Media team on content ideas and promotion. Launched our series’ Spotify page and have created curated playlists related to our shows. Conduct talent interviews for our shows.
• Assisted in securing placements in a number of local outlets, including the Dorchester Reporter and The Boston Globe, for WGBH and PBS national programming • Pitched and established relationships with media for a number of WGBH programs, primarily Boston Public Radio • Researched, developed, assisted and executed media strategies for a variety of programs across the foundation, including Boston Public Radio, Inside Boston with Joe Mathieu, Basic Black, High School Quiz Show, Stories from the Stage, and more • Wrote the monthly 89.7 News column items for members’ magazine Explore!, reporting on WGBH News stories, staff news and events • Compiled and organized daily clippings for records and to send internally across the organization
• Develop, write and implement workout plans, both pool and dryland, for swimmers ranging in skill and ages from elementary through high school • Assist coordinating swim meets with other teams in the region
• Scour online community sources and follow up on leads to pursue local feature pieces • Cover local politics, including Board of Selectmen meetings and Planning Board developments • Stay up to date with local business happenings and new business openings • Compile headlines and teases for stories, publish teases and story links to social media
