About

After graduating from McMaster's MSc. Physiotherapy program in 2017, I began my clinical work with a diverse neurological population including spinal cord injury, acquired brain injury, stroke, concussion and vestibular dysfunction. Early 2019, I was diagnosed with a vestibular disorder that changed my life. My recovery was slow but throughout the process I began to see the lack of understanding and resources re: the vestibular system, therapy and recovery. Now I am on a new journey: to advocate for vestibular therapy, educate those in health care positions and effectively treat those with vestibular disorders. Research supports vestibular therapy and I am so excited to pursue this aspect of my profession.

    Jun 2012 - 2017 · 4 yrs 8 mos

After starting in the housekeeping department, I expressed interest in learning other positions at the hotel. For two years I worked in the housekeeping department, as a housekeeper and a house person (general hotel cleaning and shuttle driver), and in the kitchen department as a cook, server and bar tender. All the while my knowledge of the hotel and hotel policies grew, and I learned maintenance of our machines as needed. At the start of my third year of employment, I expressed interest in learning customer service and applied for a front desk position. I was trained for front desk/guest service and also for the night auditor position (night shift) which I worked full time for a period of time as we were between staff. More recently I was trained as a relief supervisor for housekeeping.
