Her films exemplify rhythm in both movement and editing and experimentation in sound, influenced by her years of being a concert percussionist and jazz drummer before moving onto filmmaking. I naturally have a very good ear for sound. After years of leading a jazz combo and playing multiple instruments, combined with my skill to quickly learn new technology, it was a given that I'd naturally fall into the position of Location Sound Mixer on the first sets I'd go on...only to continue it ever since. Every scene setup is a puzzle of where to put mics for the best sound, and what mics I can place to get it, all while taking in stock of the scene and environment. I take pride in being able to get the director the best sound I can, teaching people the equipment, learning it myself, and leading an efficient sound department on set. EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE: MIXERS: Sound Devices, Zoom, Roland, Tascam, and Shure. 1/4" Tape Nagra.
