Hi, I am Çağan Atan! I'm a software engineer with a passion for problem-solving, game development, and crafting seamless digital experiences. My curiosity about how things work has driven me since childhood, and today, I channel that curiosity into design and development. With a strong foundation in React and it's libraries, I love turning ideas into reality through intuitive and engaging user interfaces. Currently, I'm focused on data visualization for the web, transforming complex data into interactive and insightful visual experiences. Also, because of my interest in data visualization, I am quite comfortable with various data visualization libraries; especially with Sigma.js, D3.js, TanStack Table and Chart.js. Beyond coding, I have a keen eye for graphic design, and can use Adobe Creative Cloud applications to enhance my projects. I'm also deeply interested in gaming, movies, and philosophy. I am always looking for inspiration from different creative realms. I am always up for a new challenge. Let's build something awesome together!
Continued my role on the Data Governance team as a Frontend/UI Developer. Focused on building high-performance user interfaces capable of handling and visualizing large volumes of data. Took the lead on frontend development across multiple projects, ensuring efficient state management, smooth user experiences, and clear data representation.
I have attended an Erasmus project named Smart Healthcare Engineering, which took place at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This Erasmus project brought together students and specialists from 3 countries (Turkey, Spain, Romania) and provided an intensive training program focusing on healthcare engineering.
Completed an internship at Beko Global, where I received training from engineers across various departments. Based on my strengths, I was assigned to the Data Governance team. In this role, I contributed to the development of user interfaces for several data governance tools. My work involved using technologies such as React, component libraries such as Material UI, state management libraries (Redux, Redux-Saga), and data visualization libraries including Sigma.js, Vis.js, D3.js, Material React Table, and Chart.js.
Completed my mandatory school internship, where I mostly contributed to the development and optimization of client websites. Focused on improving SEO performance through technical enhancements and best practices. Delivered a presentation on technical SEO optimization to the team. Worked on data extraction/cleaning using Python and Pandas for a classification project. Additionally, participated in an R&D project involving PHP development.
