The Onion Innovation and Research Center is a collaboration between Delphy and Field Research Farm Rusthoeve in Colijnsplaat (Zeeland) It's goal is to do technical (field) research in onions and to optimize the chain in onions. E.g. variety research. The centre works closely together with exporters of onions.
Teamleader of a team of arable specialists within DLV Plant approximately 20 people. Senior projectleader of several projects with topics like sustainable farming, strategic matters, train the trainer, renewable scources. Also as an expert active in several countries, mostly in the Balkan region or former Sovjet republics. Often on topics as mentioned above but also on arable production and developing strategies on implementating EU regulations. Also as advisor on food production (arable and vegetables) in East Africa (e.g. Eritrea and Ethiopia)
Technical assistance to growers in the South West of Holland in different vegetables like cauliflower, Brussels'sprouts, lettuce, strawberry, both in ground as on substratum.
Advice and consult directly to farmers on very different technical issues. In the region of South West of the Netherlands
Teaching young farmers in urban and rural environment. Working on two different schools (Hoogland en Bemmel).
