I'm Corey West – UX Designer & Storytelling Superhero, currently designing the future of auto care at Walmart. I graduated from SCAD in 2025 with a BFA in UX Design. There, I launched the university's largest student-led workshop series to date, teaching students different design tools and earning a spot in the inaugural class of Figma Campus Leaders. Before college, I grew up in a small town in Ohio where much of my childhood was spent learning and performing music. My musical background shapes the way I design: with a relentless attention to detail and connective storytelling.
Selected as part of the inaugural cohort of Figma Campus Leaders, tasked with growing Figma adoption and engagement at SCAD. Created resources and organized design workshops and events reaching 350+ students.
Fostered an inclusive, supportive living environment for a diverse community of students. Hosted events centered on belonging, wellness, and creative growth, while serving as a trusted peer resource and advocate. Promoted meaningful connections and a strong sense of community within SCAD's residence halls.
Led initiatives to develop the technical and interpersonal skills of SCAD’s design communities. Organized a design tool workshop series and co-hosted an informal UX podcast, reaching 350+ students across 20+ majors. Established a lasting foundation for future workshops, shaping how design tools and principles are taught at SCAD.
