I lead medical informatics with a strong focus on the governance of clinical system constellations. Modern hospitals no longer depend on isolated applications or devices. Clinical performance emerges from the interaction of medical devices, software, data flows, workflows, infrastructure and vendor ecosystems. My work focuses on making these constellations safe, sustainable and operationally effective. This includes leadership across: clinical IT systems and connected medical devices lifecycle and vendor governance integration and information responsibility operating models for sustainable clinical digital infrastructure the organizational foundations for structured clinical data and AI-ready care This system perspective has evolved into CARE-IT, a governance framework for understanding, assessing and improving the maturity of clinical digital infrastructure. The goal is simple: ensure that information follows the patient, system boundaries disappear into the background, and digital tools truly support clinical work. I am particularly interested in the transition from digital innovation to sustained clinical operations, where many healthcare initiatives succeed technically but fail operationally. Always interested in exchanging ideas on hospital IT leadership, digital operating models, and the future governance of clinical systems.
Enjoyable team effort: we completed a tender for several CT & MRI scanners, x-ray and mammography equipment.
Responsible for purchasing medical devices and services for radiology, radio-oncology, angiology. Medical system engineering involves selecting and implementing new equipment for safe and profitable operation within the existing infrastructure (e.g. building, supplies, IT networks and data centers).
Responsible for engineering budget and timeline for medical imaging semiconductor development in compliance with ISO 13485. Alignment of team activity analog and digital designers, test engineers, fab process engineers, packaging technology experts. Management of internal and external stakeholders.
Responsible for marketing sensor chips for automotive and industrial applications: battery management sensors and magnetic position sensors. Definition of new product specifications, development of customer evaluation kits, coordination of customer support and market research. Training of field application engineers and regional sales managers.
Design-in support for Allegro’s portfolio of magnetic position sensors (linear position sensing and angle sensing). Focus on design kick-offs: leading the customer design-in projects. Concept development and customer system modeling to prove feasibility and manufacturability.
