Development of games & VR/AR applications using Unity
• Led a cross-functional team of five engineers, providing technical guidance in the development of VR training software for pharmaceutical clients (Unity, Meta Quest, HTC Vive). • Designed and implemented a new training simulator engine to replace legacy systems, significantly improving scalability, maintainability, and performance. The solution also reduced the need for technical specialists in the creation and maintenance of VR training modules. • Improved development workflows through pair programming, code reviews, and structured mentoring. • Collaborated closely with UX, Art, and Product Ownership teams to translate industry-specific requirements into practical training solutions. • Acted as a team player and mentor, skilled in designing and clearly communicating complex systems and technical concepts.
Joined Applovin's game development department in Berlin. Became the lead engineer on an unannounced word riddle game. Simultaneously managed tasks of a DevOps team and worked on a Match3-engine prototype as the tech-lead using the Unity game engine. Aside from working on code I focused on enabling my international team members by managing tasks, discussing and reviewing technical solutions, represent them in leadership meetings as well as having meaningful 1-on-1s. Defined technical guidelines, wrote job descriptions and held technical interviews with potential candidates to join Applovin or its partners.
Joined Starberry Games as one of the first engineers. Implemented gameplay logic, AI driven vehicle simulation system (steering behaviors, pathfinding, state machine-driven vehicle AI etc.), shop system and game UI for the successful mobile game Merge Mayor. Also worked on evaluation and integration of new frameworks and technologies (e.g. Firebase, Stem Pro). Held technical interviews with applicants. Occasional GitHub and Jenkins build server maintenance.
Joined TreasureHunt on their second game. Worked on implementations of gameplay, UI and backend systems. Evaluation and integration of new frameworks and technologies. Introduced the concept of ECS to the engineering team. Provided mentorship to junior, regular and senior engineers. Leading engineer of prototype team to provide vertical slides.
