About

Having been in the Health, Safety & Environment Industry for the past twenty years, I do not work 9-5. Health and Safety does not close for the weekend or stop during the night shift, therefore I offer a flexibility and tailored service to meet the organisations specific business requirements, this in turn limits any impact on the business. I have successfully taken companies through ISO45001 and helped achieve a gold award from ROSPA, which was only one of fifteen worldwide. With an eye for detail and a passion for being the best, I strive to install these standards into my team. I am someone who leads from the front and actively encourage those around me to take ownership of all that they do. Health and Safety is not always about the paperwork, it is about the people. A passionate and confident communicator at all levels, whose experience and knowledge are wide ranging. I have primarily worked in the; pharmaceutical, construction, manufacturing, transport and educational sectors. Having worked both home and abroad this has given me a good understanding of other cultures and behaviour's, culminating in a good rapport with the workforce. This in turn creates good/better moral in the workplace. This enables my team and I to get the health and safety message across to the workforce, who embrace it more readily.

Took up the offer of this contract, after being given this fantastic opportunity to enhance my HSE knowledge in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Primary responsibilities are to monitor third party contractors and their activities on behalf of the University. This can be anything from construction based activities to dealing with marine researchers. A very varied role with plenty of challenges, especially dealing with the many nationalities which are employed on site and their attitudes towards operating within the University's strict permit to work system. Auditing the many varied tasks, buildings, functions, ceremonies is a part of the job i particularly enjoy, as it heightens the awareness and the visibility of the HSE team and our functions.
