Audit, finance, accounting—they’re not the glamour side of business but they are, in fact, pillars that successful businesses depend on. I’ve spent my career serving clients in the government sector and in the utilities, retail, consumer goods, telecommunications and financial services industries, and helping them ensure these pillars are strong and trustworthy. The technology and methods have changed constantly over the years, and I’ve kept up with them, conducting risk assessments and complex financial, IT, operational and performance audits, internal control reviews and revenue assurance engagements. My work has focused on assessing IT risk and improving IT controls, protecting data and information and ensuring the accuracy and completeness and timeliness of reporting. To stay current, I became a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and member of ISACA. Keywords and acronyms that are meaningful to people who care about auditing and IT security—and that reflect the work I do: IT Audit, CISA, Information Systems Audit, Information Technology Audit, Certified Information Systems Auditor, ISACA, Information Systems Audit and Control Association, SOX, SOC, SOC1, SOC2, SSAE 16, FISCAM, GITC, ITAC, SAS 70, general controls, application controls, ACL, IDEA, audit analytics, accounting analytics, audit findings, audit recommendations, audit reports.
