MALD candidate at The Fletcher School, Tufts University, concentrating in International Security Studies with a focus on defense technology and East Asian security. I spent two years as a Parachute Field Medic in the 82nd Airborne Division before building a career that took me across three continents. Over the course of thirteen years in Taiwan, I taught English to Taiwanese Special Forces, Military Police, and personnel at Taiwan's Military College, developing a firsthand understanding of the island's defense community, strategic culture, and cross-strait security environment. As a documentary filmmaker, I conducted field research in Ukraine's Donbas region during active hostilities, documenting NGO-led evacuation and resupply operations alongside civilian and military units. My current research at Fletcher examines Taiwan's willingness to fight, Chinese maritime gray-zone activity, and cyber operations targeting Taiwan. Published in the Taipei Times on lessons from the war in Ukraine (February 2024). I am pursuing opportunities in defense technology, autonomous systems, AI and drone policy, Indo-Pacific security, and business development.

Research Indo-Pacific and cross-strait security dynamics, with a focus on Taiwan and autonomous systems, and supporting the Reaktion Group's analytical and operational expansion into Asia. Produce intelligence reports on the Indo-Pacific, with particular attention to cross-strait dynamics and security developments involving Taiwan. Analyze the autonomous weapons sector across Asia, covering emerging defense technologies and the strategic implications of unmanned systems.
- Produced and directed a diverse portfolio of documentaries and narrative film projects, both in-house and on a freelance basis, overseeing all stages of production from concept development to final delivery. - Directed all aspects of film production from research and script writing to shot-list preparation, lighting, cinematography, location sound, and editing. - Coordinated and scheduled interviews with a diverse range of individuals, earning their trust and building strong relationships to secure engaging and informative interviews. I designed a tailored curriculum to align with each client's objectives, integrating a range of media—such as films and current news stories—to craft lively and engaging classes. This approach emphasized practical language use and cultural understanding, prioritizing these aspects over traditional grammar instruction. My methods fostered a dynamic learning environment that encouraged active participation in the real-world application of language skills.

Class sizes ranged from 20-30 students and focused on conversational English and expanding usable vocabulary. Although the curriculum was supplied by the school, I enhanced the lessons with a diverse array of media—including music, films, screenplay readings, and debates on current news stories—to maintain freshness and relevance. My teaching method prioritized practical language use and cultural exploration to foster engagement, rather than relying on extensive grammar instruction. To simulate real-world environments, the classes featured numerous activities, making them both entertaining and practical, especially for those attending evening sessions. High student participation led to improved performance and increased school retention rates.
