Financial Model Development Designed and implemented an excel based model to assist in business planning, cash flow forecasting, product demand analysis and sales team compensation. The model is secure, menu driven, and based on a modular design allowing protection of confidential information while enabling interactive “what if” scenario development by functional managers. The model was used as the foundation of the budget process and has been implemented as a monthly financial reporting package providing an analysis of progress toward corporate goals. System Design and Implementation Documented and reviewed with senior management the current accounting practices and reporting through existing systems (QuickBooks, Salesforce.com, Excel) and made recommendations to upgrade and implement GL interfaces with online banking partner, payroll and benefit vendors, and Salesforce.com to streamline processes and provide access to current data and reporting. Currently implementing those recommendations which are expected to reduce time to close by 15-20 days. Accounting and Operational Policies and Procedures Assisting in establishment of accounting and operational policies and procedures related to control of cash, payroll processing, purchasing and signature authorization levels, travel, revenue recognition, fixed asset management, records security and retention, and system backups. This documentation is an important way to communicate management’s philosophy for many key processes, is SOX compliant, and will be utilized in the upcoming financial audit.
