Following the activation of Abu Dhabi Power, ADWEC and FEWA's roles in capacity planning and procurement have been combined through the creation of EWEC, to capture efficiencies and cost savings available from an integrated approach to planning and supplying power and water to a larger, more integrated power and water sector . The creation of EWEC represents an important step in the transformation of the UAE's power and water sector.
