I am a product, marketing, and IP attorney with direct in-house product counsel experience at Meta Reality Labs and more than a decade of independent legal practice serving technology startups, media and entertainment companies, advertising clients, and regulated industries including background screening and consumer credit reporting. My work sits at the intersection of product development, marketing, and law. I have advised product and marketing teams on pre-launch legal review, FTC substantiation, advertising and monetization compliance, AI and privacy risk, sweepstakes and contest law, youth marketing and COPPA compliance, and cross-functional legal strategy inside large, matrixed tech organizations. I have also served as outside general counsel to early-stage and growth-stage startups and established companies, often as their first and only legal resource, owning the full legal function across product, commercial, IP, regulatory, and employment matters from day one. My regulatory background runs deep. I have advised clients in heavily regulated industries including background screening and consumer credit reporting on compliance with FCRA, CCCRAA, and related state and federal consumer protection frameworks. I also bring firsthand government regulatory experience from my time as an attorney at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where I handled enforcement, compliance counseling, and regulatory analysis across multiple federal environmental statutes. That government experience gives me a practical understanding of how regulators think, how enforcement decisions are made, and how to counsel clients on risk in ways that reflect how agencies actually operate, not just what the regulations say on paper. My practice spans software and app products, AdTech platforms, content monetization, brand partnerships, influencer programs, and heavily regulated data industries. I bring substantive depth in FTC compliance, GDPR, CCPA, FCRA, CAN-SPAM, IP, and commercial contracts across a wide range of technology and media contexts. What makes my practice unusual is the combination of legal depth and communications fluency. I hold a Master's in Journalism from USC's Annenberg School and spent years in media strategy, marketing, and production before law school. That background means I do not just identify legal risk. I understand how messaging works, how campaigns are built, and how to give legal guidance that product and marketing teams can actually use without stopping the business in its tracks.
