Folkert is an experienced general manager and entrepreneur. He is also a matchmaker. He initiated successfully Start-up's, he managed complex Turn Around situations and he enjoyed the thrilling experience of Explosive Growth. Folkert has in-depth financial, legal, technical and operational expertise. International Business runs as a red line through his career. Specific knowledge and experience in yacht & shipbuilding. Three years of China-EU Business Development. He understands the language of the man-in-the-street as good as the culture in the boardroom or the mindset of a banker. He worked in large, small and medium sized companies. Dutch Royal Navy, banking, production, (international) trade and business consultancy. Folkert is always looking for new challenges. As hands-on consultant / manager, or as matchmaker. Besides his work for BMS, Folkert is very much involved in the BTY Cruising project. BMS is short for Brongers Management Services. These services include Interim Management, specialized in Recovery and Turn Around situations. Also Boardroom Consultancy, aimed at Corporate Development, often in situations requiring (International) Business Bridging and/or Joint Ventures. BMS has been involved in Shipbuilding, Yachting, Emergency Power Supplies, Dairy, Machinery, etc.
BTY will be a new 5 Star Plus Cruise Line, operating with the largest sailing yachts ever build (157,5 M or larger ). They accomodate 60 - 250 passengers and 60-120 crew. Eventually ( 2028 ) the fleet should consist of 4-8 identical vessels, sailing all exotic cruise areas of the world. For all information, mail to [email protected].
BMS rebuilded the organization after a bancrupty. ( 70 fte !) Two super yachts, a 39 m MY and a 24 m SY were sold, finished and delivered.
BMS assisted in setting up a complete new structure for the service and maintenance activities of the Damen Group ( 1.4 Billion € annual turnover ).
