Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
I was a dedicated teacher and Principal who strived to keep informed of current practices and embrace new ideas in teaching. I believed in inclusive education and provided a learning environment that catered for individualised learning styles. To me this is children leading learning with the key competencies foregrounded. I am now a Learning Support Coordinator working in Central Hawke's Bay. It is a privledge to part of a support network that enables students with diverse learning differences to access the supports they need for success.
I am the junior room teacher in a small rural school. I have the responsibility of Literacy Leader. I am Deputy Principal. I am the SENCo.
I have full responsibilty for the school when the Principal is absent. The collection of data and identification of students for the SENCo role is part of my duties. I am responsible for meeting with teachers to review and discuss their planning and I administer the literacy budget.
