I am a Teaching Assistant and Laboratory Instructor for Anatomy & Physiology at Charles R. Drew University. I received my Master of Science in Biomedical Studies at Charles R. Drew University and Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Sciences with a minor in Healthcare Studies from the University of Southern California. During my undergraduate studies, I focused on investigating Social Determinants of Health through active engagement with non-profit organizations. As a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., I am deeply committed to community service and volunteering. My professional aspirations include applying to medical school to become an Orthopedic Surgeon or Street Medicine Physician, where I aim to combine my passion for healthcare with my dedication to addressing health disparities.
- Contribute to community health projects focused on HIV prevention and treatment, with an emphasis on increasing awareness and accessibility of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) resources - Perform data entry using RedCap to support research and program outcomes
- Use Cerner EHR system to record patients’ data, diagnoses, and care plans - Report any discrepancies in patients’ data with Physicians and Physician Assistants - Expand knowledge of orthopedic conditions, treatments, and surgeries
