I conducted Content Analysis on open ended responses of Moral Disagreements in Abortion and Transgenderism as part of Durham University Psychology Department Research Assistant Scheme.
Project title: Phonological Awareness Training for Junior Elementary School Students with Reading and Writing Difficulties I administered English Phonological Awareness Test and Ravens test to students with reading and writing difficulties working alongside and learning from Educational Psychologists. In this project, I demonstrated honed effective communication and approachability to engage with children through their test.
I performed research on Chronic Stress and Stress Management techniques such as Mindfulness for hospital staff. I also prepared promotional materials on stress management and fulfilled administrative tasks.
I shadowed the work of doctors and nurses in the paediatric oncology ward. I had the opportunity to experience inpatient rounds, outpatient check-ups, and meetings, learning the basic operations of a hospital. I also shadowed a social worker, where I prepared materials regarding the mental health of children battling cancer. This led me to realise the significance of psychology and mental health.
