I joined Kerry Group, originally on a 6 month contract, which has since been renewed three times. The Kerry Group are a €6Bn global food manufacturer specialising in food ingredients. I joined to assist the rollout of SAP in the EMEA region as part of the KerryConnect initiative. My roles and responsibilities were; to be a KerryConnect Deployment Lead for SAP rollouts in the UK (4 separate sites/projects), South Africa and France. This is effectively the project management of those full cycle implementations, which include the modules APO, PP, WM, QM, SD, MM, PM. to assist in developing and mentoring a team of SAP implementation consultants, including a number of graduates. The functional areas covered by this team included Product Execution, Warehouse Management, Quality Control and Plant Maintenance. In addition, I’m also an SME for these business critical functions and am asked to approve system changes for the global single instance SAP system. I was also recently asked to perform an exercise in South Africa which was not directly SAP related. It was to look at all operational areas of a manufacturing plant and design integrated ways of working to improve production adherence to plan and on time delivery to customers and to implement and drive those changes. I was successful in significantly helping improve the company’s performance. It took advantage of my experience of designing integrated solutions, and my communication and motivational skills.

Another highlight was managing the IT Infrastructure / systems project for the building of Aryzta/Cuisine De France's Grange Castle headquarters which included a manufacturing facility, an automated warehouse and admin centre.
I was initially hired on a short term contract to develop a new sales and marketing plan for the Epicor ERP system. I was then subsequently hired as Sales and Marketing Director and worked for the best part of three years managing the business development of the Epicor product line from marketing to pre-sales and sales closing.
