Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Hello! I am a Journalism student at Temple University, who is also currently in the process of declaring a dual major in political science and a minor in international communications. I am deeply passionate about investigative and political reporting. Simultaneously, I am fueled by a keen and intersectional interest in international law, economics, musical lyricism, poetry, and creative writing. The interconnection between such ultimately provides me with a structural framework for understanding systemic and narrative complexity in new and impactful ways. Between my time interning with Philadelphia's 194th Legislative District and my volunteer work with the Roxborough Eagles Athletic Association, I have developed foundational interpersonal skills, adaptive leadership, and a grassroots understanding of civil and community advocacy with an emphasis on clarity and connection. Currently, I am aspiring to build a long-term career in international trade and arbitration law. In this, I aspire to use my skills to facilitate equitable and profitable legal solutions for global institutions, helping to ensure stable and fair competition across the evolving landscape of global commerce.
Assisted in coaching five to seven-year-olds in football, and refereed basketball games for five to nine-year-olds, demonstrating fundamental interpersonal skills and adaptive communication. Moreover, I prepared and sold packaged snacks, drinks, and food at the organization’s snack stand, set up and dismantled basketball courts ahead of and after games, and interviewed staff to draft professional biographies for the organization’s website.
Interned with the 194th Legislative District, which encompasses Northwestern Philadelphia, including neighborhoods such as Andorra, Roxborough, and Manayunk. Throughout my work, I conducted policy research and drafted memos on community issues using comparative analyses of state legislation nationwide. Moreover, I wrote “Daily Clips” - a short roundup of local, state, national, and global news stories relevant to the office’s work and community.
