About

I am an experienced investment officer currently working with renewable energy and agribusiness SMEs in Sub-Saharan Africa. I am focusing on developing new, innovative funds for underserved agribusiness and renewable energy SMEs. I am also working to improve the investment readiness of early-stage companies for follow-on private capital investments. I have a passion for debt transactions, particularly those aimed at reducing poverty (SDG 1), hunger (SDG 2) and improving clean energy access (SDG 7). I previously worked in the off-grid solar and storage sector, executing on solar home systems (SHS), commercial and industrial (C&I), mini-grids, and productive use asset transactions. I led the due diligence, structuring, and financing of various receivables, inventory, and project finance facilities for companies along different touchpoints of the solar energy value chain. I am skilled in equities and macro variable forecasting with an emphasis on long-only investment funds. I have a background in constructing & managing portfolios for institutional and high net worth clients in the investment management industry. I have a Bachelor of Business Science (B.B.S.) in Actuarial Science from Strathmore University. I am also a CFA charter holder and a certified expert in climate and renewable energy finance.
