Brent Tasugi is an experienced mid-market investor and board director with over 20 years of experience across private equity, principal investing and real assets. Brent is a Managing Director at I Squared Capital focused on Transportation & Logistics opportunities in North America. Prior to I Squared, he served as a Principal at AMP Capital, where he oversaw the firm’s middle market transportation, industrials and social infrastructure strategy in North America. He has experience investing in numerous infra assets across the globe including airports, ports, railroads, intermodal, food/agribusiness, specialty leasing, cold storage, utilities, waste management, electrification and mobility. At AMP Capital, Brent was responsible for setting the North America transportation and logistics investment strategy and overseeing all investment-related activities. Brent served on the board of ITS ConGlobal. Prior to joining AMP Capital in 2017, Brent spent 9 years at Oaktree Capital Management / Highstar Capital in New York, where he served as a Senior Vice President & Co-Led the Transportation Infrastructure & PPP practice. During that time, Brent served on number of portfolio boards including Aerostar Airport Holdings, Lonestar Airport Holdings, Ports America, Ports America Chesapeake, Advanced Disposal Services and SkyBitz. Prior to joining Oaktree Capital, Brent worked at The Carlyle Group as an Associate in its US private equity practice. There he worked within the Automotive, Transportation & Industrials Group. He received a BS from the Wharton School of Business in 2003.
