All aspects of support for school district of approximately 1600 students and 250 staff. Includes anything from desktop support to networks.
Setup, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for Windows 2003 and Exchange servers, city-wide fiber optic, radio, and wired networks. Provides support for all city computers, printers, and copiers. Also assisted in creation of software, network, and computer setup for fundraising efforts within the city.
Provided desk side support to over 1000 users at Irving Service Center. Began with support of 48 OS/2 Warp 4 servers and 1000 Warp 4 clients. Assisted in migration from OS/2 Warp 4 to Windows 2000 and XP and necessary hardware upgrades. Network administration over ten Windows 2000 servers for various domain and telephony functions. Responsible for configuring new routers and switches for the network. Also performed hardware support and on Lexmark laser and inkjet printers and Dell desktops and servers.
Managed new technology projects from initial delivery to lab testing and actual field deployment and usage. Worked with vendors, field engineers and test lab engineers to develop implementation, documentation, and integration standards for telecommunication equipment in the MCI WorldCom network. Designed and engineered numerous network capacity and transmission improvement projects.
Supported 1,450 users in two buildings. Software support included Windows NT 4.0 and OS/2 Warp 3. Assisted in migration from OS/2 to Windows NT and conversion from Token-Ring to Ethernet. Network administration over 50 OS/2 Advanced Server 3 and 20 Windows NT servers. Performed repairs on Hewlett-Packard laser printers.
