I am a motivated Year 3 Information Security Management (Cybersecurity) student at Republic Polytechnic with a strong passion for cybersecurity and a keen interest in protecting digital systems against evolving threats. I have developed foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in areas such as network security and threat analysis, including the use of tools like Wireshark to support traffic monitoring and threat detection. I am also eager to apply my academic learning in real-world environments and continuously expand my expertise in cybersecurity, particularly in intrusion detection and threat hunting. With a strong curiosity for the broader IT landscape, I am always seeking opportunities to grow my technical skillset and stay updated with emerging technologies and security practices.
During this internship, I learned the foundational basics of Level 1 troubleshooting, which can help me in my IT career moving forward. I learned about some hardware and software configurations, simple troubleshooting, and network fundamentals.
