Creating employee experiences. Rebuilding and coordinating efforts for great employee onboarding. Training and helping hiring managers to ensure they are building their best team. Driving process efficiencies and best practices throughout talent acquisition. Management of health and welfare offerings and plan management. Manage workers compensation and all leaves. Assist with employee relations and performance management. Maintain and develop employee guidebook/handbook as well as company employee policies.
Design, develop, and oversee policies, practices and programs, including compensation, benefits, wellness, recruitment and onboarding. Partner with leadership in program and policy oversight for other employment areas, including performance management, employee relations, and training. Monitor external trends and legislation to ensure competitive and attractive employment practices, as well as legal compliance and risk mitigation. Provide guidance to staff on interpretation and application within the organization. Receive, review and process all ADA requests relating to employment. Manage all FMLA/OFLA leave. Assist in responding to any and all BOLI, EEOC or legal claims regarding employment, including working with legal counsel on related employee issues. Manage all Workers’ Compensation claims including: time loss, return to work, modified job duties, bona fide job offers for modified work, legal settlement and ongoing communication with workers’ compensation carriers, claims adjusters and staff. Assist with insurance broker annually on employee benefit renewals and enrollments with carriers. Distribute 401-K and Flexible Spending Account updates and notifications.
Headed all recruitment and new hire process for over 115 employees, 43 volunteers, and 18 interns. Entered new hires in HRIS system and DMV Pull Program when appropriate. Assist in the maintenance of organization-wide requisition listing. Verified employment and background checks on current and former employees. Assisted with the process of transfers, promotions and other changes of 82 employee status in HRIS system. Assisted with the maintenance of HR-related data collection systems to provide statistics, forms and reports for administrative and regulatory purposes. Ensured Policy Tech and manual policies are consistent and current. Assisted in the preparation, distribution and review of appraisal information on scheduled basis of over 680 employees. Answered general employee/client inquiries concerning HR policies, procedures and other HR-related areas. Created and distributed various surveys and reports (weekly, monthly, annually, ad hoc, etc.).
Providing Human Resources support by responding to employee inquiries and concerns regarding company policies and benefits while ensuring confidentiality. Coordinate the selection and employment process to include job postings, test scheduling, prescreens, interviews, and new hire orientation. Maintenance of HRIS , Peoplesoft, tracking employee time and attendance, maintain employee personnel files in accordance with legal and company policies while maintaining confidentiality. Complete all payroll functions and processing paperwork for benefit changes.
