Strong education professional with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) focused in Technology Education from University of Wisconsin-Stout and a Technical Diploma in Welding/Metal Fabrication from Fox Valley Technical College.
Experience teaching a variety of subjects including Project Lead the Way engineering courses, woodworking, and machining. However, the majority of the couses taught involves welding and metal fabrication. Several welding courses taught allow students to receive 5 credits and a GMAW welder certificate at Fox Valley Technical College.
Courses taught focus on weld print reading, weld symbols, wire feeding processes such as Gas Metal Arc Welding (formerly known as MIG) and self-shielded flux core (FCAW) or the GTAW(TIG) process.
- Read cut list and blueprints - Cut pipe to length with plasma cutter or saw - Groove pipe or thread pipe - Measure and layout outlet openings according to blueprint - Cut outlet openings with plasma cutter - Weld outlets by hand with GMAW (carbon steel) or with North Alabama Pipe Robot - Penetrant testing for weld quality - GTAW for stainless jobs - Had a large role in creating standard operating procedures for welding and fabrication shop equipment

A part time/seasonal job. Experience with the following: - GMAW process for stainless and mild steel sheet metal (3/16" or less) as well as structural mild steel up to 1/2" plate - GTAW(TIG) process for stainless and mild steel sheet metal (18 gauge to 3/16") and stainless steel pipe GTAW process for cast iron and nickel - requires pre and post heating of cast iron to relieve stress on the weld Using 3 part dye penetrant testing for leaks Low pressure (10psi or less) testing components Certified through the company for numerous welding procedures with both GMAW and GTAW processes
