During my PhD, I studied an aggressive childhood leukaemia called T-ALL (T cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia) using high-throughput sequencing methods including single-cell transcriptome sequencing and and whole-genome sequencing. I was supervised by Professor Sam Behjati and Professor Muzlifah Haniffa.
Summer research internship where I studied the cross-talk between type 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2) and mesothelial cells in the pancreatic cancer, using techniques such as flow cytometry, cellular co-culture systems, immunofluorescence and single-cell transcriptome sequencing. I was supervised by Dr Tim Halim.
Trained high school students between the age of 15-18 for the Singapore and International Chemistry Olympiad. Prepared lecture materials, problem sets and examinations, and supervised students in laboratory work.
Conducted research on multiplex immunohistochemistry and genomic studies on colorectal cancer in Singapore.
