Brad Simmons, FAIA is the Managing Partner for KAI Enterprises. In his role Brad is engaged with a wide range of leadership responsibilities that include overall growth, strategic partnerships, industry relationships, acquisition targets, and key hires. In addition, he provides leadership for the Buildings business with a keen focus on KAI hubs in St. Louis, DFW and Atlanta. KAI is a national firm providing delivery-oriented building solutions with a diverse portfolio of experience, in-house multi-discipline professionals, and expertise in both design and construction delivery. KAI Enterprises is comprised of four distinct business units—KAI Design, KAI Engineering, KAI Build and KAI 360 Construction Services. An industry veteran of 40+ years, prior to joining KAI, Brad spent nearly 30 years with Jacobs, a global AEC company. During that time, Brad served in a wide range of senior / executive leadership roles at the regional, national and global levels – culminating in his last position as Global Vice President – Built Environment. A a licensed architect, Brad earned a Bachelor’s in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University in 1984 and was a two decade plus member of the Texas A&M College of Architecture Advisory Board. He is a 1998 graduate of Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government Senior Executives in State & Local Government Program. Brad was elected to the prestigious AIA College of Fellows in 2000, becoming one of the youngest architects honored in the organization’s 150+ year history. From 2000-2003, he served on the National Board of Directors for the American Institute of Architects and as National Chair of the AIA’s 2005 National Convention in Las Vegas. In 2006, Brad’s peers in the American Institute of Architects of Missouri honored him with the AIA Missouri Distinguished Service Award, for a career of leadership and commitment to the profession. Texas A&M University’s College of Architecture recognized Brad’s professional contributions by bestowing him with Outstanding Alumni Award in 2007.
