After working as an engineer in materials science, I continued my education with the goal of becoming an academic researcher. A discovery of the joys of education led me to earn my teaching credentials. I continue to be a science enthusiast, with much of my passion in research and development of how science is learned, applied and extended. Collaborative problem solving is the center of my teaching as it was during my career as an engineer. I am looking to extend my enthusiasm for developing solutions and understanding with a like-minded team.

Taught A Level Physics and BTEC Science. Predominately helped students complete their practical work and prepare for their external exams.
Taught GCSE and K3 science to students who were being treated at the hospital. This was done in the ward, one-on-one, often with care being given simultaneously (e.g. dialysis treatment).
Taught Physics through the AP level, Modeling and Simulation, Engineering and Scientific Research Methods courses to 14-19 year old students. Collaboratively designed, refined and taught a required NGSS science course aimed at preparing all students for responsible, informed global citizenship. During COVID-19, managed and taught remotely in a non-synchronous classroom. Coached varsity boys basketball.
