I build and scale engineering systems that turn fragile platforms into reliable, high-leverage growth engines. With 15+ years of experience, I focus on rebuilding technical foundations so companies can scale without breaking. At EvolveYou, I joined in 2021 to a company with no engineering leadership, no product structure, and a fragile, agency-built platform. I rebuilt the system end-to-end: architecture, infrastructure, team, and delivery, transforming engineering into a strategic driver of the business. Key outcomes: • 100% uptime (from recurring incidents) and <1s app startup time • Fully automated CI/CD and cloud-native architecture (AWS, ECS) • Scaled team into a cross-functional organisation (engineering, QA, product) • Supported growth from 75k → 90k users without proportional infra cost • Delivered cost optimisations saving tens of thousands annually Today, I focus on designing high-leverage systems at the intersection of AI, cost optimisation, and scalable architecture, helping teams move faster, operate more efficiently, and build with long-term scale in mind. My approach is simple: well-designed systems create leverage, not just people or tools.
Hired in 2021 to build the engineering function from zero in a company operating without technical leadership, product structure, or scalable systems. Inherited a fragile, agency-built platform, manual AWS operations, and infrastructure unable to support growth. Rebuilt the company’s technical foundation end-to-end—spanning architecture, infrastructure, team structure, and product delivery. Scaled engineering into a cross-functional organisation (engineering, QA, product), introduced clear ownership and delivery systems, and shifted the team from reactive execution to predictable, high-velocity delivery. Led a full platform transformation to a cloud-native AWS architecture: • Migrated from Elastic Beanstalk to ECS and implemented fully automated CI/CD (GitHub Actions) • Eliminated database bottlenecks and introduced DynamoDB alongside Postgres for scale • Reduced app startup time to <1s and achieved 100% uptime (from recurring incidents) • Transitioned from monolithic CMS to headless CMS (Sanity) • Replaced DB-based auth with JWT, improving performance and system efficiency • Introduced a Node.js API Gateway to unlock full-stack ownership across the team Strengthened platform security and operational standards, enabling the business to scale without fragility. Supported growth from ~75k to ~90k users while shipping significantly more features without proportional increases in infrastructure cost. Delivered multiple infrastructure and architecture optimisations across video streaming, email, and data platforms—generating tens of thousands of pounds in annual cost savings. Transformed engineering into a strategic function—aligning technology decisions with business outcomes, accelerating product velocity, and building the systems required to support long-term scale.
- Allbright digital “Allbright digital” is a digital and global community for female members to connect, create, and collaborate at all stages of their careers. Worked on the first release of the web and mobile application in the middle of the the first lockdown. Stack : React, React Native, GraphQL, AWS Platform ( Lambda )
Was given the goal to create this new team to extend the client-side development competencies of the company to cover HTML/CSS/JS-based 10-ft experiences. Key milestones : - Built the team from scratch and line managed a team of 2 developers ( 1 senior and 1 mid level ) + a QA engineer. Agile methodology alongside a product manager in charge of our roadmap (SCRUM, JIRA tools, etc.) - Built from scratch and got released on production applications for multiple top tier clients for XBOX, Samsung and LG platform : White labeled OTT application including features such as Video playback, DRM, In app Payment ( Native or using third party services such as Stripe or Paypal ) - Scripting “everything” and reduce as much as possible human actions to avoid mistakes. Also make it possible to automate most of the tasks such as deployment and testing. - Built a custom made “Spatial Navigation” framework on the top of React to easily implement navigation on TV devices with a remote. - All applications are progressive web apps : by having our code base remotely hosted, we bypass the store submission after the first submission and get back in our control the releases pace and processes. - Have been part of a drastic performance improvement of the application across all devices ( Lighthouse performance monitoring and application refactoring ) Technologies and tools used : React, Redux, AWS, Typescript
After facing the departure from the former Mobile team leader, did an interim job in order to help the team releasing their very first mobile application in the Apple Store Key milestones : - Transition from HockeyApp ( today AppCenter ) to BitRise after it got acquired by Microsoft - Help with the recruitment of the new team leader for that team Technologies and tools used : React, React Native, Redux, Redux Sagas, HockeyApp ( App Center ), BitRise
Made the early technical decisions for what is today the Endeavor Streaming Frontend team and helped creating the team around it. Key milestones : - Line managed a team of 8 people - Involved into the hiring process of most of the team members of the current broader frontend team ( around 30 people with Web, Mobile and Tv ), out of which 3 got promoted into a managerial role. - Led the architecture of a css framework from scratch to improve the productivity of the development of our internal frontend interfaces, simple or complex. The goal here was to improve our productivity during the development phase of our interfaces - Built from scratch the very first version of "Dice" Web, our white labeled web streaming platform which is today in production and used worldwide by millions of customers for multiple top tier clients (Including WWE and UFC) - Led the technical decisions around the creation of a central library condensing most of our business knowledge. Today, it is used between our different client applications (Web, Mobile and TV) and is helping to improve our day to day productivity during the development phase. Technologies and tools used : React, Redux, Angular JS (1.x), AWS, Docker, Typescript
Building one of the first Social DSP working with Facebook, Twitter and more social media networks. Frontend application built on the top of a REST API ( Django ). - Systematic Unit tests and coverage on all the applications by using Jasmine and Karma as a test launcher. Putting also in the process Integration tests using behave and selenium for putting more confidence about functional test cases. - Continuous integration process with Travis builds on every pull requests creations and update push. Also using Travis as a deployment tool on the tests environments - Making the more junior guys of the team being more independent and improving their skills by often reviewing pull requests. Paying a high attention onto this to keep a high quality of code in the product. Junior guys could this way faster pretend to be a bit more senior and letting the more senior guys putting their efforts into building the application. - Applying the Git flow - Following the scrum methodology with every day scrums meeting, sprint feedback meetings and sprint planning sessions. Stack : ExtJS / DeftJS / Karma / Jasmine / Travis / Fabric / Docker / Salt / Git
