22 years in legal publishing. Started with text, moved to data structures, now I engineer knowledge. At Wolters Kluwer, my team owns the semantic content standards behind legal research products in 10+ countries. I design content models, maintain SHACL validation rules, and prepare our structures for AI-driven retrieval. Path here: Magister in German Linguistics and Sociology (WWU Münster). Text analysis led to XML, XML to ontologies, ontologies to Knowledge Graphs. Same question throughout — how do you make meaning machine-readable? Also Scrum Master (SAFe 6) for our Knowledge Management Team. I build Python tools for content validation and work with AI agent workflows. Open for conversations on Knowledge Engineering, content architecture, Legal Tech, and structured data × AI.
Working with the Knowledge Management Team on semantic content standards and validation frameworks for international legal research products, serving 10+ countries. Contribute to the design and evolution of content knowledge models (RDF-based) used across global product platforms Design, build and maintain SHACL validation rules for automated content quality assurance Developed an AI-powered content analysis and mapping tool that reduces migration analysis time from months to days Prepare content structures for AI-driven retrieval and enrichment Serve as SAFe 6 Scrum Master: PI planning, sprint facilitation, team velocity tracking Lead AI-readiness initiatives: preparing content structures for RAG, content enrichment, and intelligent retrieval Liaisoning between knowledge engineering and product development teams Build Python-based tooling for validation, mapping, and analysis workflows Develop AI-agent workflows using GitHub Copilot, MCP architecture, and prompt engineering Define AI governance guardrails: transparency, traceability and quality assurance for agentic workflows.
Deliberate move into technical execution to understand how legal content becomes machine-readable data. Built ETL pipelines, trained ML models for entity extraction, and served as internal AI consultant. Realized that AI output quality is bounded by content structure quality — which motivated the subsequent move into knowledge engineering. Highlights: Organized internal innovation conference „Data Days" with international speakers. Won WK Code Games (1st place, „Contract Vagueness"). Global Innovation Awards Finalist (2x). Speaker at Semantics 2021 conference. Collaborated with Fraunhofer IAIS on ML for legal document classification.
Development and testing of product prototypes for legal professionals, embedded in the Innovation Team. Managing the development of technology components and modelling work processes and workflows.
