My PhD in Sports Engineering enables me to work on the cutting edge of science, technology and human movement. Responsible for inov-8's global footwear range across the Run, Hike and Crossfit categories. I work on every shoe from product ideation, design direction, development, product testing and commercialisation. Responsible for innovation and patents and work closely with our factories.

This three-year research project investigated the effect of stud design on laceration injury risk in studded footwear. It was funded by the Vice Chancellors PhD Scholarship and is in collaboration with World Rugby. This project was awarded the 2017 Nike Award for Athletic Footwear research.
Developing skin simulant materials for revision of international rugby regulations (Regulation 12) to assess the laceration injury risk of studded footwear design. Commissioned by World Rugby.
