• Seizing short-term opportunities by tactically optimising network capacity though aircraft re-assignments managing the airline’s growing business of unscheduled and charter flights • Effectively distributing Emirates’ flight schedules via industry publications in print and electronic versions • Production of feasibility studies for new routes and changes to the existing network • Design Emirates’ long and short term schedules through effective deployment of its growing fleet • Development of Emirates’ long-term plans to ensure continuous growth and profitability • Liaise with Civil Aviation authorities and Airport Slot control for various Schedule approvals long and short term
• Analyze individual flight performance and identify flights with high and low demand. • Analyze, Plan and Implement additional flights based on demand arising due to various events and festivities across the network viz during Ramadan, Umrah, Haj, Nouroz, Easter, New Year, shopping festivals, sporting events, Summer/Winter school breaks, etc. • Influence departments like Engineering, Flight Operations, Crew Scheduling and yield management to ensure that opportunities arising from increased short and long term market demand are capitalized. • Periodic review of standards and procedures. • Evaluate charter requests by assessing operational feasibility at destination stations, costs of operating the charter and price offered. Thereafter plan the implementation of charter flight in co-ordination with Engineering, Airport Services, Crew scheduling and Catering. Also liaise with external agent’s viz.Ground handlers, fuel suppliers, Airport Authorities and slot co-coordinators to ensure smooth and successful operation of the charter flight. • Provide schedule recovery options with minimal revenue loss in the event of major schedule disruptions. • Co-ordinate efforts with Network Control, Yield Management, Airport Services, Reservation Services, Crew Scheduling, Operations Control, Cargo, Engineering and Civil aviation authorities to attain quick recovery with minimal passenger discomfort. • Ensure that the flight schedule information distributed to MARS, OAG, GDS, are reflected accurately.
• Liaise and co-ordinate with various agencies and contracted service providers to implement and maintain highest levels of safety and security of operations. • To provide highest level of customer service and to give a proactive feedback to help identify and correct problem areas in this aspect. • Devise and implement strategies with respect to ground handling requirements keeping in mind all operational aspects like Air field closure, Notams, Duty time limitations of crew and Engineering requirements. • Ensure compliance of current procedures and review these from time to time to cater to operational and commercial requirements. • Manage resources optimally for disrupted flights including diversions and delays. • Supervise and efficiently manage all flight handling activities thereby achieving performance related to flight punctuality, check in standards and baggage delivery times. • Respond accurately and promptly to feedback from Customers about service levels. Handle correspondences and administrative tasks with internal and external customers of the organization. • Ensure that the contracted services are delivered as per mutually agreed terms and conditions. • Liaise with operating departments to plan, organize and execute the aircraft movement with respect to the current as well as future schedules.
