Managed and installed all aspects of a temporary and permanent Fiber Network, Copper Network for a 1.6 million square foot facility. Coordinated with Project Managers and various trades to accomplish critical path construction schedules. Specified, ordered and procured material while training workers to install equipment and material correctly, ensuring high quality standards. Trained technicians to perform maintenance of Fusion splicers, OTDR’s and testing equipment. Conducted safety training, analyzed potential hazards and developed preventative solutions in an environment of over 4,000 people of various construction trades. Four years no critical injuries or serious incidents. Worked as part of a team to install, build, maintain and engineer a cable plant consisting of over two million square feet of commercial and residential properties. Managed projects to install equipment and cabling in up to 30+ story buildings and develop pathways to interconnect properties back to two data centers. Maintained and monitored over 200 access layer and 15 core layer switches to maintain a 100% uptime over a 4,000 user environment consisting of 30 MDF’s and 180 IDF’s.
Installed and activated Fujitsu Multiplexers. In one on one customer contact, worked out solutions to complex issues and developed temporary fixes resulting in little to no downtime. Ran fiber and copper jumpers to interconnect equipment and verified functionality with other central offices to bring up OC192 rings for clients.
