I am an experienced Intraoperative Neurophysiologist with a proven track record of working in diverse operating room environments across the United States and the United Kingdom. I collaborate closely with patients, surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to ensure optimal surgical outcomes. As a board-certified CNIM since 2018, I specialize in advanced neurophysiological monitoring techniques, including EEG, EMG, TcMEP, CoMEP, SSEP, BAER, cortical and subcortical mapping, motor strip mapping, and brainstem/cranial nerve monitoring. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-professional Zoology and Sociology from Ohio Wesleyan University.
• Provided Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IOM) for over 40 hospitals in the UK in procedures ranging from complex spine, asleep and awake cranial, intra- and extra-axial brainstem, deep-brain stimulation (DBS), cardiothoracic, neurovascular, peripheral nerve, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and ENT. • Taught courses in IOM on topics such as anaesthesia in IOM, motor and speech mapping, and cranial nerve monitoring for NHS neurophysiology departments, neurosurgical registrars and consultant surgeons. • Lead breakout sessions and product demonstrations at conferences such as the Society for British Neurological Surgeons, British Society of Intraoperative Neurophysiology, British Neuro-Oncology Society, and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery Neurosurgical Oncology Simulation Course. • Trained ten clinicians and acted as a direct mentor to three recently qualified clinical neurophysiologists. • Provided remote clinical support oversight to ten junior trainees. • Monitored over 200 procedures.
• Key Achievement: Established and maintained new contract with VCU Medical Center, managing a team of four technicians, assigning and providing coverage for neurosurgeries. • Collaborated on neurophysiological research, primarily in fields of spinal cord injury and cardiothoracic procedure outcomes at the University of Louisville and Virginia Commonwealth University, respectively. • Coordinated travel for coverage in 5 states across 25+ hospitals, working with multiple managers, staff and vendor credentialing services. • Monitored 458 surgeries: cerebral (36), brainstem (4), spine (179), vascular (239) at over 25 hospitals.
