Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand
I am a people‑centred senior leader with over 20 years’ experience lifting performance, strengthening customer experience and guiding large, diverse teams through change. My career spans Government, Healthcare, Enterprise, Mid‑Market and Education portfolios, where I’ve simplified structures, improved commercial decision‑making and delivered consistent revenue and margin growth in fast‑moving, highly competitive environments. I’ve led national business units exceeding $200M in turnover, managed multi‑site teams of senior managers and account leaders, and repeatedly turned around underperforming portfolios. My work includes transforming enterprise profitability, reversing major losses into consecutive years of strong growth, integrating sector teams, leading national sales restructures and delivering large‑scale operational improvements that strengthened capability and consistency. A core strength throughout my career has been building trusted, multi‑tier relationships with C‑suite, procurement, finance, IT and operational leaders. This has enabled me to uncover needs, influence decision‑making and design customer‑centric solutions that improve efficiency, reduce cost to serve and strengthen long‑term partnerships. I bring deep experience improving order‑to‑pay processes for large, complex organisations — redesigning workflows, strengthening onboarding models and delivering measurable efficiencies that enhance contract stability and customer satisfaction. My leadership style is calm, clear and people‑focused. I believe high performance comes from trust, clarity and genuine care, and I’m passionate about coaching leaders, building capability and helping teams navigate change with confidence. I thrive in roles where I can combine strategic thinking with hands‑on leadership, align people and strategy, and deliver high‑quality, reliable service at scale.
In this role, I led the Education Sector during a pivotal organisational restructure, balancing strategy development with hands‑on leadership to guide national teams through change. I partnered across functions to reimagine our Back‑to‑School operations, a critical revenue driver, which resulted in a significant turnaround in performance. I also introduced growth initiatives across 2023 and 2024, embedding scalable strategies that consistently delivered results beyond expectation. Alongside sector strategy, I stepped in to directly manage the Northern team during a leadership gap, providing continuity and stability while maintaining high standards of performance. In line with my commercial mindset, I streamlined portfolio and regional structures to align resources effectively, enabling stronger return on investment while sustaining sector‑wide delivery outcomes. These experiences allowed me to combine resilience, adaptability and a people‑first approach to deliver both immediate impact and long‑term growth.
As General Manager, Enterprise, I shaped a new customer engagement model that strengthened OfficeMax’s market position and reinforced our value proposition across large, complex organisations. I built and led a national sales team of 37, focusing on talent acquisition, leadership capability and strong commercial accountability across senior account managers and team leaders. I directed the design and implementation of multi‑year growth strategies that consistently delivered above‑target results, including throughout the pandemic. Alongside enterprise leadership, I served as the primary liaison for All‑of‑Government contracts, managing complex negotiations and securing long‑term partnerships during competitive tendering. When asked to step in as Acting Sector Lead for Education in 2022, I balanced dual responsibilities while navigating a major structural transformation. These experiences strengthened my ability to lead at scale, balance competing priorities and embed a culture of customer‑centricity and commercial discipline.
